Who we are
Established in the Strand, 1970For over 50 years, our firm has built a reputation for delivering clear, strategic guidance in even the most complex legal matters.

With six attorneys — including conveyancers and notaries — we are large enough to advise on all aspects of your personal, property and business affairs, yet small enough to offer a personal service that is hard to beat.
Our offices are in Somerset West, close to Somerset Mall. We personally attend to the lodgement of deeds at the Cape Town Deeds Office, appear in courts across the Western Cape, and can meet you at home or at work by arrangement.

Mr Dan Du Toit establishes a general legal practice in the Strand.
- 1973
Mr Leon Frank joins, and the firm becomes Du Toit and Frank.
- 1980
Mr Du Toit retires; Mr Paul Viljoen joins and the firm becomes Frank & Viljoen.
- 1992
Michèle Marais joins the firm.
- 1994
Michèle Marais becomes a partner, and the firm becomes Leon Frank & Partners.
- 2008
The firm incorporates Murray Smith & Swanepoel, a practice founded in the Strand in 1927.
- 2011
Fanie Le Roux (with the firm since 1998) and Danie Meiring (since 2005) become partners.
